Dear KOSOMBE members, Greetings! I am Sung-Uk Kuh, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Biomedical Engineering Conference 2021(IBEC2021) as an 2021 Autumn Conference of KOSOMBE. We are holding online conferences this year due to the ongoing COVID-19. We sincerely thank our members for their continued interest and participation. The upcoming autumn conference aims to take a look at the fields that medical engineering needs to move forward, such as biomaterials, biomechanics, brain engineering, and medical devices. This program is designed to share the latest academic achievement with active members in each field. The world has been suffering from an unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic since last year. Social distancing limits and hinders academic research activities. In this challenging situation, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all members of KOSOMBE for their efforts in academic research and fostering junior scholars. We will do our best to build a strong network among researchers by fully utilizing the online platform. We would also like to thank the organizing committee members and sponsor representatives who helped make the autumn virtual academic conference successful. Lastly, we appreciate the medical staff who are working hard to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic. Best wishes for the continued growth of the Korean Society of Medical & Biological Engineering. |
